Reputation Management

Company's around the globe spend billions of dollars every year on advertising and with all that advertising money spent, only a small fraction ever goes to the name and reputation management of most of these companies.

Manage your Internet reputation into your marketing
It’s not that these company's don’t care about their reputation, and it certainly isn’t because they don’t understand the value of their reputation. So why don’t most of these company's spend more money on their own reputation management? Actually they do, they just spend the money wisely by adding value to their advertising campaigns.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that advertising is expensive, but it might surprise you to learn that the really smart company's work their name reputation management into their advertising campaigns. This gives them much more bang for their advertising buck, while allowing them to get creative with their marketing strategies. Learn more about how you can add bang to your advertising buck, the same way big companies with huge advertising campaigns do, while managing your company’s reputation on the Internet.

Bottom line; whether you have a website or not, you certainly have a name and that name has a reputation. Most likely the reputation you have, has been earned through hard work and years of disciplined effort, it wasn’t luck or a free gift.

Simply put, your reputation has intrinsic value that helps you to earn a living or helps your company to sell their products or services. Internet reputation management problems can start when you fire an employee or fail to satisfy a customer; maybe you’re in a fiercely competitive industry. No matter what the circumstances it’s likely that sooner or later your name and reputation could be the victim of an attack on the Internet. Maybe it’s a posting on a blog, maybe it’s a website with an unflattering article or maybe there’s a post in one of the many new website popping up around the Internet where anyone with a grudge can say anything that’s on their mind and say it for free.

Think it can’t happen to you or your company?
Read this… "In the [pre-Internet era], you had to take ownership [of your remarks]. Now there's a perception of anonymity," said Lesley Withers, a professor of communication at Central Michigan University. "People think what they say won't have repercussions, and they don't think they have to soften their comments." Read more about anonymous anger rampant on Internet in this CNN.com article:
